ABOUT JOSEPH
Joseph DuPont is a Maine-based location photographer who has been making images since acquiring his first 35mm film camera as a young lad. He received his formal training at The Maine Photographic Workshops in Rockport, Maine, where he earned a degree in photography. Upon graduation, Joseph moved to Portland, Maine, and began working as a photojournalist for Casco Bay Weekly while building his photography business. His work has been shown in various art galleries, used in advertisements, and featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times, Portland Magazine, Recording Magazine and Port City Life.
Whether working on a commercial project, shooting an editorial assignment, or photographing a wedding, Joseph uses his artistic vision and unique point of view to capture genuine moments in time. His playful, laid-back personality, as well as his professionalism and technical capabilities creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere - all the elements needed for a fun and successful shoot!
Having been from Bangor to Buenos Aires, Maine is the place Joseph chooses to call home because of its sheer beauty, four seasons, and over 3000 miles of rockbound coast. When not working, he's been known to lay down some funky drum beats, pluck the strings of his guitars, carve a snowboard on local mountains, or wet a line whilst in a pair of chest waders fishing for striped bass.
